Can i fix it by myself?

Before you order a new charger, it's crucial to diagnose the issue to ensure you're addressing the right problem. Begin by checking your charger working status. Is there power in your wall outlet where charger plug-in? Does the charging indicator light displaying normally? Is the fuse look good? Replace the fuse and see if that resolves the issue.

If you have a voltage meter or multi-meter handy, it's a great tool for troubleshooting. Check the charger output voltage at the stairlift charging point. For most stairlifts, the output voltage should be 28V DC. However, for Acorn stairlifts made before 2014, the output is 18V AC. If the charger is functioning as expected, consider replace the batteries inside your stairlift. Similar to car batteries, stairlift batteries typically need to be replaced every 3-4 years to maintain optimal performance.
